Hurma Support and Training Ltd. is a social sector company founded in 2024 that offers high-quality religiously and culturally conscious services, training, and consultation. We serve authorities, private individuals, and communities.
Our operations are based on solid professionalism in social work and psychological counseling and the courage to be yourself. We have unique expertise in religion-conscious encounters, particularly in the significance of the Islamic religion for people's holistic well-being.
The Story Behind Hurma Tuki: From Passion to Expertise
Hurma Tuki ja Koulutus Oy was born from the shared vision of two friends, Pia and Minna. We have long worked at the heart of social work and social guidance, while also serving as long-standing active influencers within Muslim organizations and communities.
Along the way, we identified a significant gap in the Finnish service system: as society becomes increasingly pluralistic, the need for religion-conscious expertise grows, yet the necessary tools and deep understanding are often lacking. At the same time, there is a profound desire within Muslim communities to help and take action, which requires professional training to reach its full potential.
Hurma Tuki is our solution to this need.
We uniquely combine practical work experience, community-based lived experience, and strong academic expertise. Our services are rooted in research: Minna Taipale's doctoral research and academic background ensure that our training and consultation provide profound insights into even the most demanding questions of multiculturalism and religious literacy.
Our goal is clear: we want to build bridges, increase understanding, and ensure that everyone is met on their own terms – with scientific precision and a professional heart.
